Dating back to 1990, a group of partners started their business with a restaurant in Phnom Penh where served a high end international buffet. Unbelievably, in a small, unwell known country, the business ran pretty well. 3 more restaurants have been opened in Siem Reap several years later.
After a long period of conflict inside Cambodia, it seemed to be more stable and acceptable from the worldwide. Nonetheless, the fascinated world heritage “Angkor Wat” itself and other surrounding temples appeal a huge number of visitors to Cambodia every year.
Established in 2001 by the same group of business partners, Angkor TK Travel & Tours (ATK) started its business as a local tour operator. With a small number of staff, it was such a long tough trial period. From time to time we have gained a lot of experience in the Tourism of Cambodia. From a tiny office space to an individual office building, we keep expanding our business since the number of our business partners (travel agents) and clients has been increasing dramatically worldwide.
It has been several years since we have been serving our business partners and customers as a local tour expert. Consequently, many of worldwide leading companies (both private & public) relied on us in taking care of their groups or even their VIP guests year by year. Until 2005, it is our pride as we had the great opportunity being a local representative in handling the ground operation for World Class Cruise Line Companies. From small number of cruise ships at the beginning, now we handle over 10 ships in our responsibility each year. They are MS DEUTSCHLAND, MS NAUTICA, SILVER SHADOW, SILVER WHISPER, QUEEN MARY II, QUEEN ELIZABETH II, QUEEN VICTORIA, CRYSTAL SYMPHONY, CRYSTAL SERENITY, SAPPHIRE PRINCESS, PACIFIC PRINCESS, TAHITIAN PRINCESS, ROYAL PRINCESS, SUN PRINCESS, DIAMOND PRINCESS, ARCADIA and ORIANA CRUISE.
In April 2008, we are appreciated by the reward from The Ministry of Tourism (MOT) and the Cambodia Association of Travel Agents (CATA) on the occasion of the Cambodia’s Achievement of 2 Million International Visitors in 2007. This reward could guarantee us the outstanding contribution in promoting Cambodia Tourism.
We still always do some advertisement in promoting ourselves to public. However, around 80% of our business now comes from our business partner and people who have traveled with us before or have had us recommended to them by those who have done so. At the heart of everything we do is this pride in creating the best possible tailor-made itineraries, providing all excellent services for our clients and doing everything we can to ensure they are so happy with their trip that they recommend us to their friends and family.
