| Sihanoukville also known as Kom Pong Som, is fast becoming a desirable destination for people all over the world due to its glittering white sandy beaches and clear blue water. The warm and tranquil water is perfect for swimming, sunbathing or just relaxing after tiring day of sightseeing. Located in the southern tip of Cambodia it is popular vacation spot for Khmers and tourists. | Cambodia’s one and only international port was completed in 1960 after a five-year construction; since then it has grown and now has nine berths. It is fast becoming popular with Asian Cruise Ships and currently receives around -- dockings a year. Situated just a few miles from downtown Sihanoukville cruise passengers can easily explore the city independently or take fascinating tour to visit local schools, ancient temples and the wonderful Ream National Park. |

Khmer people are renowned for their love of Karaoke and there a few good Karaoke bars in town. There won’t be a huge selection of Western music but it is always greatly amusing to watch the Khmers having a good time. If you are so inclined there is a large casino you can go and try your luck at. |

| Sihanoukville is also home to many tropical islands – gorgeous, unspoiled and perfect for a day trip. Stung Hauv Khmer fishing village makes an interesting day out as does the Kbal Chay Waterfalls. If you have to time why not make a trip to the small town of Kampot or the seaside town of Kep infamous for its seafood platter. |
